Kindergarten Weekly Insight
Dear Parents,
Its the most wonderful time of the year here in Addis as we count days to celebrate Ethiopian New Year! Wishing you all a Happy New Year! Go easy on the Doro and Tej!
Large group
This week in Kindergarten while we were reading the book 'Sea animals' we were all surprised to find out that the male seahorse is the one to store the eggs in a pouch on their belly! We also enjoyed dancing to the song 'Cha Cha Slide'.
Small group exploration
We joined the pre-k class for literacy and
made our own letter cookies .
The students called the 'silly yummy letter cookies'!
Zoo-phonics was incredibly fun as we came up with some of our own card games.
In our math class we
composed
a number
in two or more ways.
Exploring in the science lab was really fun and we were so excited to use the different tools.
Reminders
Please make sure your child wears old clothes and shoes on Wednesday for our Art class.
Please be understanding of our pick up times and help us have smooth daily routine. Lunchtime pick ups (from 12:00-12:30) afternoon pick ups (from 3:00-3:30) if you have any questions feel free to contact us during school hours.
there is no school on Monday due to Ethiopian New Year
