Early PreSchool weekly update
Dear parents,
We had amazing week at little Einsteins.
Large group
Our large group this week emphasized in making patterns. We talked about the patterns we can see in the class. Some kids saw the patterns on their t-shirts, socks and shapes on the wall. We also enjoyed talking about the plants and the trees in the school and what makes them grow tall. Some of the quotes include “that one is taller than this one”. “This one is so big”. “I want to climb on the trunk (stem)”
Small group
Math- This weeks shape matching activity was the most fun of all the activities we did. We had a paper that have shapes drawn and the kids enjoyed matching the shapes and naming them.
Literacy – This week we decided to match letters. We had print out letters and the 3D letters. We had fun looking up the shapes of the letters and trying to make the sounds.
Science – In this week’s science we talked about the main component of a plant (root, stem, leaves, and flower). We investigated one plant and tried to see if it has all the components, then we decided to plant our own seed and see the whole growing process in further detail.
Light box – We used coins, colored plates, and shapes to practice our pattern making skills. The kids enjoyed making ABABABAB patterns.
