Pre school and Early Pre-K

Dear Parents,

Hope you all had a fruitful and fun week like we did. We keep working on our beginning sound during our board message and they are getting really good. We sang a song called “Brothers and Sisters’ had a long and fun conversation about our family show. We talked about how helpful we can be and how it’s always good to listen to our family and friends, and how hard for them to communicate with their little brothers or sisters because they don’t speak!!

Rachel said, “I have a brother, a little one. He is just eating his fingers with his teeth. He has 16 teeth. He just drinks milk and eat porridge, he don’t talk”.

Helle said, “I have a sister, a big sister. She helps me read books. And my daddy helps me climb a tree.”

Adam said, “Me, two sister and brother. Sister big.” And when his teacher asked him what their name was and how they helped him, he replied, “Holen and Isla, no book, just eat”

What we have done in our small group

Journal Monday; kids express their feeling and what they love through a lot of things and journal is one of them. It’s been a while since we have done journal since we have been working more on a cooperative game and developing fine motor skill. Our journal was so fun and it’s very good to see how most of our kids start to express what they drew and share it with their friends with confidence.

Measuring math; we continued doing measurement this week. This

time we used different materials to measure our friend’s heights, we used tissue box and a ruler. We talked about how many tissue box and ruler tall our friends are!

Classification Wednesday; we also continued classification in our science class. Last week we talked about habitat, which we classified where different animals live, and this week we talked about and classify all the food they eat. We classify them into “Meat eaters and Grass eaters”.

Alliteration Thursday; As we have been practicing more on zoo-phonics,

they are getting good on the sound of the letters. Starting from last week we have been working on Alliteration. We continued doing so this week, we used a flash card which has pictures and we match the beginning sound of the pictures on the flash cards with the Zoo-phonics.

Our specials

Art; this week in our Art class, our kids saw glitters and asked if we can do a drawing and use the glitters and we postponed our rainbow project, which we were supposed to finish by now, to next week. They made very beautiful design!

Music and gymnastic; on our music and gymnastics class, we explored with musical dots! And also we continued practicing our gymnastic moves.

Wednesday is our Art day, please make sure your child wear their ‘Art clothes’ because we use paints and our activities get messy!
