Infants and Toddlers
Dear Parents,
It was another eventful week here at Little Einsteins. The children had an amazing time talking about animals and looking at things we find in our garden. Our environment activities will continue for the couple weeks.
Large group
This week for large group the children had a fun time exploring with different materials in our room before we started our circle time. During our circle time we sang songs about animals that live on the farm and we tried to listen to what kind of sounds they made and saw if we recognized which animal made the sound. After we finished singing our songs we read a book called ‘A day at the farm’ and what kind of things we could find in a farm.
Small group
For small group this week we had three different activities excluding art and music. The activities we had were exploring with animals, collecting leaves and making collages with leaves. The children had an amazing time collecting the leaves and, went around the garden smelling and feeling the textures of different leaves. Some were soft, some rough and some were bumpy!
After they were done smelling and feeling the leaves and flowers they started collecting the leaves and some flowers were on the ground and the ones that were still on the steam were a bit dry and they put them in a box for our activity the next day.
On Friday we made collages with leaves, we went to our art room and
talked about what we did the previous day and how we went in the garden to collect leaves and flowers. We decided that we were going to stick them on paper using glue.
