Dear Parents,

How was your week? We had an amazing week in Early Preschool and Preschool, filled with exciting activities and memorable moments. We invite you to enjoy reading about our highlights and take a peek at some of the wonderful pictures from the week!

Large group

In our large group sessions, we believe in starting the day with energy and excitement! Each morning, we engage our students in a lively conversation where we ask them about their mornings and their favorite breakfasts. It's always fun to hear what fuels them to start their day! After sharing our morning stories, we sing our cheerful "Good Morning" song, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Then, we take attendance, making sure everyone is ready and present for the day's activities. We also take a moment to discuss the weather, connecting our students to the world around them, and talk about the days of the week, helping everyone stay on track with the day's schedule. It’s a perfect way to build routine, connection, and a positive mindset for the rest of the day!

Small group

Library

Our library session was a delightful experience for the students! They had the opportunity to choose their favorite books and explore them in a unique way. Many students spent time carefully examining the pictures, diving deeper into the stories they told. Some even asked us to read aloud, adding an extra layer of excitement to the session. It was heartwarming to see their enthusiasm for learning and exploring new worlds through books. At the end of the session, each student selected a book to take home, ready for more adventures and discoveries. It was truly a wonderful day filled with curiosity and joy!

Literacy

In our latest literacy session, we focused on creativity and planning through drawing. The activity began with a simple question: "What do you want to draw?" This prompted the children to think and plan before starting their artwork. Each child was then given their journal book and their favorite crayon. As they began to draw, the excitement was palpable. When they finished, we asked them to reflect on their work: "Did you follow your plan?" Most of them proudly showed that they had indeed stuck to their ideas.

Here are some of their plans:

"I want to draw a swimming pool." Tendy

"I want to draw a house." Eden

"I want to draw a rocket ship." Eliot

It was amazing to see how their creativity unfolded in line with their original thoughts, showcasing both their imagination and their ability to follow through on their plans. The session was a great way to encourage both creativity and reflection in their learning process.

Math

This week in our math session, we continued building on our number skills with an exciting and engaging activity. Last week, we focused on counting numbers using corresponding materials, which helped the children visualize and connect numbers with objects. This week, we took it a step further with a worksheet that involved counting and matching numbers to their corresponding pictures. The children worked diligently as they matched each number to the correct image, reinforcing their understanding of numbers and their practical applications. It was wonderful to see how well they grasped the concept, and they did an amazing job

Art

This week in our art session, we had an exciting and creative time as we focused on making an air balloon! To start, we painted a light blue background, symbolizing the sky and emphasizing air transportation. The students were filled with excitement as they took turns adding their personal touches to their creation. It was a wonderful experience watching everyone get involved and express their unique ideas. The energy in the room was contagious, and the final results were amazing. We can’t wait for the next creative adventure!
