Amazing Week in Early Pre-K
Dear parents,
The process of learning becomes more fun and engaging if it’s baized on the learner interests and that is exactly the COR of our learning method. Check our activities for this week.
Happy Birthday Leul and Solomon
Large group: This week in our large group we continued with the sphere as the shape of the week and the number 15. We introduced the sound of the letter ‘k’ as the sound of the week. Moreover, for our morning activities the kids counted fifteen fingers in pairs, wrote the numbers 11-20 on the board and shared about our favorite musical instrument.
“Kayo Kangaroo kick who?” Leo
“I like the piano” Leul
“When I counted, they were fourteen and when you counted, they were fifteen” Noam
Math: This week math session the kids got to practice the graphing concept and their fine motor skills through doing a worksheet. They cut out different fruits and put each fruit in a column then counted how many fruits of each kind.
“Four grapes” Mitsuki
“One Banana” Hongyu
Music: This week music session the kids had fun playing the famous “Musical chairs” games. It’s was a good chance to practice different skills such as, listening skill and instruction following.
Ethiopian Center: Check our pictures to see the nice time we spent doing different activities in the Ethiopian center.
Literacy: This week we went through some of the zoo phonics through playing an interesting game called ‘The parking lot’. We stuck some zoo phonics on a board pretending to be a parking lot and stuck the same phonics on different car, so each child got to choose the sound they wanted to park!
