Blog For Early Preschool ,Preschool And Early Pre -K
Hello dear Little Einstein’s Families,
We had a great time with our children here in our favorite place LE. We had a lot of exploration time at our large group, small group as well as work time!
What have we been up to this week!?
Our large group went well this week!!
We have been working and enjoying our large group by singing songs, reading books and make some activities for our fine motor skills, counting and identifying numbers, drawing on our journals and sharing books to our friends were the main focus.
Our small group
Monday (cooperative game for early preschool)
We love being able to take our activities outside on beautiful and sunny days. We have been playing obstacle game in our playground that was such a fun and challenging game for our kids. They were playing the game by climbing up on the tree house then by getting down from it run to slide then run to and count and jump on the hula hoop. That was such a nice obstacle game that our kids were getting tired, challenged then enjoyed. From this game we have observed that our kids need to have more obstacle games in our class so they will have fun. In addition, they will develop their Muscle strength, body awareness, Balance and coordination, Problem solving, Emotional regulation and social skills.
Tuesday (Literacy Zoo-phonics)
We have been working on our zoo-phonics. Zoo-phonics works so well with our kids because it's a kinesthetic approach, pairing each letter sound with a corresponding animal and body movement. This shows our kids are more likely to remember information when it's connected with action. That's why the Zoo-phonics motto is: "When the body moves, the brain remembers!”. We all were having fun in this way of exploring letters process.
Wednesday (Science Body Parts)
We have been discussing about body parts in our science class. Our kids are more familiar in this concept they were teaching one another by showing and drawing body parts on the board. We have been reading a book titled ‘I like myself’ from our shelf and singing ‘I am special’ song that gives them more understanding about the concept. By looking at our student’s potential we ask them to cut, a body part pictures from the worksheet and paste it on the places they belong. They all did a great job.
Thursday (Math)
Measurement have been our focus on our math class .We have been having an interesting discussion about how to measure and what materials to use while measuring our height.
” we can measure our height by building lots of chocolate ”
” we can use chair to measure our height ”
”we can use hat to measure ”
After having this discussion we came up to use a tissue box to measure ours and our friends height. Thus our kids agreed to measure their height and draw line on the wall by using crayon .So we planned to make this on the coming week .
Music and movement
Dance is an activity that allows our kids to develop coordination, balance, and flexibility in a safe and controlled setting at their own pace. Beyond physical benefits, dance also allows children to express themselves creatively. Through movement, children can convey emotions, and explore their imagination. So, our teacher Betty is helping us develop our dancing ability. She shows us some dance steps and lets us do with the music rhythm. We all love to dance!
Art
Drawing helps our student’s development of fine motor skills as they learn to control their finger grip and movement to the ideas they are expressing. Thus, our class have grasped ideas about shapes in their math class, so they have been tracing and drawing shapes on a canvas they all were making it different as they wanted it to be. After drawing the shapes, they were busy drawing eyes and other body parts for the shapes. They all have been engaged on this artwork. Thus, they ask to paint and add up some glitters on their work to make it shinier and look nice. So we plan to make it and finish up their work in the coming week.
Playing with mud
We have been exploring mud activity since the second semester with our teacher Asnake. Our kids are excited to touch the mud and feel the texture plus they are creative! Some made cars, donuts, dinosaurs, birthday cake, and airplane and so on. It's one of our favorite classes!!
