Early Preschool and Preschool

Dear parents,

We had a wonderful week! Our second week back to school was exciting for the children as we welcomed more of our friends that were on vacation. We would also like to welcome Amaury, a new friend to our group.

What did we do this week?

This week for small group we had Cooperative Games, Literacy, Math, and Library.

For Literacy this week we had a storytelling activity, which we call Journal. During this activity, the children drew different pictures in their journals while listening to soft classical music. After taking their time drawing, one by one the children told their friends and caregivers what they had made.

During our Cooperative game day, we had lots of fun playing different games that the children had played before. The games we played were; duck duck goose, musical dots, and bowling.

And during our math activity, we repeated an activity that we had done before the break. The activity we had was a measuring activity, during this activity the children measured each other using tissue boxes by stacking them up next to their friend while their friend is standing still. After they finished stacking up the tissue boxes next to their friend the children counted how many boxes they used to measure a friend.
