Early Preschool and Preschool
Greeting dear parents,
What a wonderful week we had! This week we celebrated our 100th day at school,
the children celebrated 100th day by putting their handprints on board made by the children in the kindergarten class.
This week we welcomed our old friend Thulani to our group.
What did we do this week?
This week for small group we had cooperative games, science, literacy, math, and library.
During our cooperative game’s day, we played a fun racing game. The race we had was triathlon, we started our special triathlon by running towards parked bikes in the middle of the blacktop. Once they reached the bikes, they biked all the way to two boxes that had three balloons in each of them. Once the children reached the boxes, they placed two of the balloons between their armpits and one of the balloons between their legs and tried to walk towards the trampoline without dropping any of the balloons.
And this week for literacy we had journals. The focus of our journal this week was drawing in our journals what we love about our school. After they were done drawing on their journal the children one by one told their caregivers what they love about their school. Some said “playing with bikes” and “trampolines” and “playing with their friends”.
And during our science activity, we had a sorting activity. We sort domestic and wild animals. For this activity we used printouts of different animals, as we sorted the animals, we talked about what they eat and the sounds that they make.
What are we going to do next week?
