Hello dear parents,

We had wonderful week! The children were really excited to celebrate the birthday of one of their friends at school. Happy birthday Amaury!

What did we this week?

This week for small group we had Cooperative games, Literacy, Math, Science and Library.

This week during our science activity we continued talking about animals and where they lived. For this activity we prepared pictures of various animals and a picture of their habitation. The pictures of the habitats we prepared were Desert, Water, Jungle and Polar.

During our activity we placed the pictures of the animals on the floor of our classroom and the pictures of their habitations on our message board. Following that the children chose a picture of an animal and tried to sort them in their rightful habitation.

And during our Math activity we had fun activity on number recognition activity. During our activity we prepared different materials that the children could count, these materials were balls, shapes, bears, and buttons.

During our activity the children chose a 3D number and said what number they held in their hands, following that they chose one of the materials we had prepared in a box and count the exact amount that matched the number they held on to their hands.

During our Library Day we talked about the rules while using books, the children came up with some wonderful rules. Some of the rules the children came up with were, No cutting books, Share books and No drawing on the books. After coming up with rules we read one book together as a group that the children enjoyed. The book we read was titled ‘What makes a family?`
