Early Preschool and Preschool

Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful week in early preschool and Preschool. We hope yours was great as well!

Our large group

For our large group session, when we get in the class we had a free choice ‘puzzle’ time after that we cleaned up and sat in a circle, and talked about how their mornings were and started doing our good morning song, and after that we open their favorite song ‘IF YOU’RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT’ after doing that we talked about days of the week, the weather and we did attendance. And we read the story “COURTESY” and they were excited and happy with it.

Small group

Co-operative game

For the cooperative session we did the hop scotch and we talked about the rule of the game and they were so excited and happy about it and we learned about numbers as well while playing the game.

Math

For the math session we did number tracing starting from 1-10 using the play dough they were so excited, also what we have noticed is that they have been sharing with their friends.

Art

For our art session we did color identifying while doing that we were happy that they have been able to identify colors and after doing that we gave them papers to paint the colors they chose. They were excited and happy about the activity that we had on hand and all of them were engaged.

Literacy

For our literacy session we did the zoo-phonics and they were so excited and happy about the zoo letters.

Gymnastics

For our gymnastics session we started by stretching and continued doing our lesson by using our hands and walked by the help of the coach (Mr. Yonas) and were so eager to have their turns and excited about the activity.

Reminder

In celebration of Ethiopian New year, on Monday your child can come wearing yellow or white clothes.

Every Tuesday is our library day, so we will be sending a book that your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.
