Early Preschool and Preschool

Dear parents,

We had a nice week! Here is how our week went by,

What did we do this week?

For small group we had Cooperative Games, Literacy, Math, Science and Library.

During our literacy activity we had fun time talking about the letter we talked about during our previous classes. The letters we talked about were A to F. During our activity we observed if the children remember the names of the zoo-phonic friends, the stories behind the letters and the sounds the letters make.

During our science activity we had an exciting time doing a small experiment. The experiment we did was blowing up balloon. For this activity we prepared an empty bottle, balloons, vinegar, and baking soda.

We started the activity by adding a little vinegar to the empty bottles after that we handed the children one balloon each so that they can add baking soda in it. Once they added the baking soda in to the balloon using spoons we strapped the balloon on top of the bottle, which has vinegar in it. Following that the children pored the baking soda into the bottle, as the baking soda and vinegar mixed they created a reaction with in the bottle that made the balloon filled with air. This made the children really excited as they saw the balloon grow in size.

This week during our math activity we talked about sizes. As this is our first size related activity we are talked about the two basic classification of size big and small. During this activity we prepared objects that are similar but different in size. The children enjoyed identifying, which material was bigger and which was smaller.

What is our plan for next week?

Monday – Cooperative Game

Tuesday – Literacy

Wednesday – Science

Thursday - Library

Friday - Math

Have a nice weekend!
