Dear Parents

Hello, we had a fun and exciting week. The children were learning fun and exciting ways of knowing their subtraction, sight words.

Large group

For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song, explored the color Brown, participating in the circle time calendar activity strengthened our time management skills, sharing about our days allowed us to connect with one another. It was a week filled with learning, being respectful, creativity, and friendship.

Small group

Literacy

For our literacy session this week we did sight words, which was so entertaining and fun for our kids which is why we repeated it this week too. We wrote some sight words on our mini whiteboard using a sticky note so they could memorize the words and call them out while they are under the sticky note, they called them out turn by turn and were so happy to remember what was inside while having fun. We also tried to sing about it.

Math

For our math session we did some subtraction using play dough and also we did it using some sample fingers to make the subtraction more interesting and fun so the kids would be able to do the subtraction with more engaging way, also do it with having a good time. They started writing numbers they want to be doing and started using the play dough to subtract numbers and count the one that they are left with. It was an activity full of fun and engagement they also did this activity by being in a team which helped them to develop the sense of team work.

Journal

For our journal this week as we always do we did what the kids really enjoy which was filled with the stories that our amazing kids told us as they try to put it in picture and also they used their imagination perfectly which really amazed us!! This also helped us create a positive learning environment which fosters creativity and self-expression.

Science

This week for our science session we did what the kids are really in to which is doing what they really want to explore, which was doing what they are really passionate about so we asked them what they really want to do and they all have different ideas.

After they planned this we asked them what we need to do this they told us by saying we need pencil to draw, color to paint and scissor to cut. We gave them the materials and they started getting creative and did a nice job also asked to do it the next time to finish up with the glue to make it move.

Art

This week for our art session we did being creative by sand and some glue, we were amazed by what they have created and how focused and concentrated they were while doing it, the outcome was really amazing and they loved it as well us they were happy while doing it.

Reminder

- Every Wednesday is our library day, so we will be sending a book that your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.

- Every Thursday is our art day so please send your child with art appropriate clothing.
