Our Early Pre school and Pre school This week

We had a lot of fun and great week in early preschool and preschool. We hope yours was great as well!! We had a great time celebrating our 100th day of school.

Large Group:

Our large group had a lot of engaging activities. As always, we started with our good morning song and our kids' favorite songs. Then, we moved on to our message board, where we took attendance, discussed the weather, days of the week, and explored Zoo phonics from n to r. We also talked about different domestic and wild animals and read a book called "Listen up Pup".

Small Group:

Cooperative Game:

In our cooperative game this week, we returned to our project and wanted to have a cooperative work where we can use every ones help. We cut up the cardboard we soaked in hot and cold-water last Friday, took it out of the water, and cut it into very small pieces. Then, we added water and glue, mixing it all together.

Math:

In our math session, we engaged in a shape sorting activity. First, we discussed different types of shapes like circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, and pentagons. Then, we mixed and placed different shaped items together. We asked the students to sort the shapes and put them together. The kids were very active during this activity.

Library:

This week's library session was wonderful. Our kids read various books and chose one to take home.

Art:

In our art session, we all wore our art masks. Then, we prepared our canvas with light blue and black colors and sponges. Next, we divided the canvas into equal sections and asked our children which color they wanted to paint. They chose their preferred colors and dipped the sponge into the paint before creating beautiful artwork with half black and half light blue colors.

Literacy

This week in our literacy class, the children drew and colored in their journals! We all had a fun time.

Science:

In our science session, we used cardboard that we cut and mixed with glue and water to make different shapes as desired by our kids. Then, they put it in the sun to dry.
