Our First Blog!!

Hello Dear Parents,

We hope you had a wonderful week!

We are excited to share that our second week of school has been absolutely fantastic. The children have settled in beautifully and have already shown so much enthusiasm for the year ahead. From exploring new learning areas to getting to know their classmates, it is been a week filled with joy and discovery. we have seen incredible energy and eagerness from the children, and it is clear they are ready for a great year.

Large group:

Everyday during our large group sessions, we started by asking the children how their morning was and singing the “good morning” song. We also introduced days of the week by saying their days out loud, sang the “There are seven days in a week” song and counted the days of the week on the board. Moreover, we talked about classroom rules and expectations.

Our large group book for this week was ‘Clifford’s First Day of School’. The students enjoyed hearing about how Clifford's first day went!

 Literacy:

During our literacy session the children got really artistic! We opened the session by discussing what a journal is and what we could do with it? Then they were excited to actually get their journals and pick the color of crayons they preferred to use. It was interesting to see what came out of these little smart minds.

Library

Our latest library session was both enlightening and enjoyable. We focused on essential library etiquette and created an environment where everyone could explore their favorite books in peace.

Library rules

One of the key topics we discussed was the importance of using an inside voice while in the library. This simple yet crucial rule ensures that everyone can read and concentrate without distraction. We also emphasized the need to handle books with care. Treating books gently helps preserve them for future readers and maintains the quality of our collection.

After covering these guidelines, we encouraged our students to dive into their favorite books. Seeing their enthusiasm as they explored new books, asked them about the pictures.  The joy of discovering and sharing books in a respectful and supportive environment made for a truly memorable experience. We look forward to more such engaging sessions where we can continue to learn about library rules  and share the love of reading.

 Art

This week’s art session we had the pleasure of introducing our young artists to the various materials and tools available in our art room, fostering an environment of exploration and imagination.

Our session began with a tour of the art room where we introduced the diverse materials at the children’s disposal. From vibrant colors and different types of paper to brushes, glitter, and various textures, each item was explained in detail. We demonstrated how and when to use these materials, ensuring that the kids felt confident and inspired to experiment with them.

After the introduction, we provided the children with paper and colors, giving them the freedom to create whatever they wished. The room was abuzz with creativity as the kids drew, painted, and decorated their artworks. Their enthusiasm and engagement were palpable, and it was exciting to see their unique ideas come to life.

The session was a wonderful success. We look forward to more artistic adventures in the future and continuing to support our students  in their creative journeys.
