Our Kindergarten Blog This Week !!!

Dear Parents

Hello, this week was full of new things, some innovations and also typing the words we have learned overall a week filled with learning and having fun.

Large group

For our large group session, we started by singing the good morning song, orange was our color for this week as well as hexagonal prism was our shape for the whole week participating in the circle time calendar activity strengthened our time management skills, and sharing about our days allowed us to connect with one another. It was a week filled with learning, being respectful, creativity, and friendship.

Small group

Literacy

This week for our literacy session we did sight words, but this week we have tried to type the sight words using our mini keyboard which was done using papers, all the kids were busy looking for the word writing it the papers and also trying to read the sight words on their own this activity made them have a good team work as well as it helped them know the sight words very well and we were happy to see them engaged and happy while learning.

Math

For our math session this week we did the greater than and less than concept which was fun and engaging. The kids were drawing the Allie alligator to show the greater than sign and were happy and engaged about the activity and were asking to do more of the concept.

Science

For our art session we did an activity that our kids are engaged into which is innovation so we gathered an information from the kids which was them playing games with iPod and also having their own iPod so we asked them if they wanted to do an iPod of their own they were excited about the idea of them doing their own and having their own iPod, so the first thing they asked where do we take it home ? They were happy since all our kids are into innovation. They were also cutting, putting colors and glues inside their zip lock trying on their own making mistakes, trying again and again until they got it right. They were focused when they were making the iPod. They had fun while doing it.

Football

We have started our football the past 2-week s and the kids are getting more and more better in football, knowing about the rules and trying to implement the rules and were so happy about the activity, it helped them develop their gross motor skill and also their teamwork skill while having their team talk they looked very cure all hugging each other and cheering each other’s up.

- “Owww i scored!!!!”

Reminder

- Every Wednesday is our library day, so we will be sending a book that your child picked from our library, which will be returned after a week on library day.

- Every Wednesday we have Football, so please send your child with football appropriate clothing.

- Every Thursday is our art day so please send your child with art appropriate clothing.
