Our Kindergarten Weekly Blog!!
Hello Dear Parents,
How was your week? ours was a week filled with fun, laughter and of course caring for one another.
Today we had a birthday for our Dear Vavra which was amazing and fun and we wish you a very Happy Birthday once more.
Large group
For our large group session, we started by singing the “Good morning song”. Through our large group, we read books and had a conversation with one another about our days. We Participated in a circle time Calendar activity that helped us increase our time management skills, and sharing our days allowed us to connect with one another on a deeper level.
Gymnastics
This week our gymnastic activity was so much fun and engaging which started with the first warm up of the session which was jumping on the musical dots and passing different obstacles, after doing that we started our Balancing and we were amazed by how all of them tried to balance while holding a musical dot on both their hands.
“Look, I am not falling.” Frankie
“Yes, I love gymnastics.” Haon
Literacy
This week during our literacy session, we continued our exploration of sentences and CVC words, a journey we've embarked on for the past 2 weeks. The children expressed genuine enthusiasm for the activities, delighting in constructing their own sentences and decoding CVC words with the aid of tactile CVC blocks. Joy and satisfaction radiated throughout the session as we revealed the joy of learning together.
“I can read this sentence.” Andre
“Is it another sentence puzzle?” Frankie
Math
During this week's math session, we continued the concept of skipping numbers by intervals of 10 and our additional skills. The children remained fully engaged throughout, deriving enjoyment from both the tactile manipulation of blocks for addition exercises and the mental challenge of skipping numbers. Their enthusiasm and active participation underscored the dynamic and enriching nature of our mathematical exploration.
“I know it was skipping by 10 today.” Yazeed
“Can I do 7+8” Ruut
“Look, I am adding these blocks.” Abigail
Science
This week our science activity was an engaging, fun and exciting activity, which was Bubble Art and the kids enjoyed and their attention was captivated on process and what the outcome will be. For this amazing Bubble Art we used food color, rubber bandage, wipes and plastic bags. The fusion of doing science experiments sparked excitement in the room and we all had an engaging science session.
