Dear Parents,

We had a wonderful week in Early Preschool and Preschool, full of fun, learning, and creativity! We hope you had a great week as well. Take a moment to check out our weekly blog to see some of the highlights from our classroom. We’re excited to share all the moments your little ones enjoyed!

Large group

In our large group session, we gathered in a circle to start the day together. We began by sharing our thoughts about the morning, giving everyone a chance to speak and connect. Next, we sang our cheerful "Good Morning" song, which brought lots of smiles and energy to the group. After that, we took attendance and had a fun discussion about the days of the week and the weather. It was a wonderful time to hear each student’s ideas and see how confidently they shared. A great start to a great day indeed!

Small group

Clay

In our clay session, we asked each student to share their plan or idea for what they wanted to create. It was wonderful to hear their imaginative thoughts and see their excitement build. As the session went on, we observed whether they followed their original plans or chose to experiment and change direction. Some stuck to their ideas, while others let their creativity lead them in new directions – and both approaches brought amazing results! It was a joyful and lively time. The students truly enjoyed working with their hands, exploring textures, and expressing their creativity. We’re already looking forward to the next session!

Math

In our math session, we explored the world of shapes! Most of the students were already familiar with common shapes like circles, squares, and triangles. Building on that knowledge, we introduced two new shapes: the pentagon and the hexagon. We discussed and counted how many sides each shape has, which sparked a lot of curiosity and excitement. To make the session more hands-on, we printed out shape outlines. Then, using cotton buds, glue, and sticks, the students carefully built the sides of each shape. It was wonderful to see how focused and engaged they were during the activity. Once they finished, they proudly pointed out the sides and counted them again with confidence. A fun and educational session all around!

 Literacy

In our recent literacy session, our students had an exciting time exploring the alphabet with Zoo phonics! We reviewed all the letters from A to Z, learning their sounds and matching actions to help bring each one to life. After the review, students chose their favorite Zoo phonics character and got creative by tracing the letter with colorful playdough. It was wonderful to see how focused and engaged they were during the activity. This hands-on approach made learning fun and meaningful, helping students connect with letters in a playful, memorable way!

Cooperative game

In this session, our students had a blast during a hands-on cooperative game where they created their own bracelets and nickels using colorful pasta. It was a joyful and engaging activity that sparked creativity and teamwork. Each student took turns selecting their favorite pasta shapes and colors, carefully threading them to design unique pieces. The room was filled with focus, laughter, and bright ideas as they helped one another bring their visions to life. It was truly a wonderful time—our students not only honed their fine motor skills but also shared in the fun of creating something special together. Judging by the smiles, this was one of their favorite activities yet!

Science

In our recent science session, we explored the fascinating world of color mixing! The students got a chance to become little scientists as they mixed different colors of their choice using paints and glue we had prepared in advance. It was exciting to see how combining different shades could create entirely new ones. Each student created their own unique paint blends, experimenting freely and learning through play. The room was full of creativity, curiosity, and a delightful, colorful mess! It was truly a joyful and hands-on learning experience.
