Preschoolers

Hello dear parents,

We had a wonderful week!

As we are approaching to the last day of school, we would like to ask you to return the children’s library folders. And also, to send flash drives to get the children’s photos, favorite music ad portfolio.

What did we do this week?

This week we had lots of fun with activities that we have done during previous small groups. Our activities were science, math, literacy and cooperative games.

For science this week we had a fun time making play dough from scratch. We started our activity by introducing the materials we had prepared to make the play dough, the ingredients we used were water, flour and oil. We started our activity by feeling the texture of the flour, followed by mixing it with a little bit of water so that the flour can stick together. Following that we rubbed it with oil so that it can be smoother. After we were done making the play dough, we had fun playing with it.

During our cooperative games’ day, the children talked about what they wanted to do during our large group time, the activity they wanted to have was bike race. While two of their friends were racing the children were cheering and waiting for their turns.

Based on the children interest, this week for math we had a patterns activity using Uni-fix cubes. During our activity the children made their own patterns with out any kind of assistance from their caregivers. Some of the children made simple AB patterns while others made AABB patterns.
