The Champions Blog!!!

Hello dear parents,

How was your week? Our week was wonderful. Our kids worked hard practicing for their football game, and their efforts paid off as they won the game. We are proud of them and happy for their achievements.

Large group

During our large group session, we began by singing the "Good Morning" song. Throughout the session, we read a book and discussed how we can ensure that our football match day is both respectful and fun. We also participated in a circle time Calendar activity, which helped us improve our time management skills. Sharing our days allowed us to connect and engage with one another on a deeper level.

Literacy

This week for our literacy session we did vowel letter blending words as well as CVC words both activities were engaging as well as fun for the kids, we did cutting and sticking the CVC words by seeing their pictures as well as for the vowel letter we used a cup and started reading the word and putting them in the use and through cup we stick the words ‘a_e, ai and ay’, it was a fun and engaging activity we did for this week.

-      “This is the same word it has magic ‘e’ “Haon

-      “This goes to this ‘ay’” Andre

-      “Can is stick it here?” Ruut

Journal

In this week's journal, the focus was on a football match that took place in ICS. The children drew pictures of the match in their journal books, including the goals scored and celebrations. Additionally, some kids used their imagination to create drawings of rainbow cars. It was an enjoyable activity for all the children involved, who love creating their journal books every week.

-      “You see this is me scoring the goal.” Yazeed

-      “Look at my rainbow.” Ruut

-      “Wow, you put more paper in my journal.” Abigail

Football

This week's football practice took place in another school, and all the kids had a great time. They were excited to be out of our school compound to show what they had been practicing for the past couple of months. All their effort and practice paid off as they won their opponents 6-2, and our kids received a trophy and medal for doing an excellent job in a new environment.

Library

This week's library session we read a book as we usually do and the book that we read was called’ Elle the Elephant’ They were all happy and concentrated while we were reading the book. We had an amazing library session.

-      “The elephant is dancing on the ants?” Ruut

-      “The ants look like a person.” Yazeed

-      “Elle Elephant is his name?” Andre

Science

This week's science session was individual projects which included doing a rocket ship using use and through a cup all the kids were excited to try the activity, we used a cup, scissors, and glue to finish our rocket and the end product was so amazing and was also nice to see how the kids have improved in using the scissor to cut out papers and hoe they were sticking the papers they were cutting using a glue. It was a session full of engaging and fun.
