Two Weeks of Educational Engagement and Delight In Infants Class

We've had an incredible two weeks filled with fun and creativity! Thank you for sending in recycled materials for our activities—they added so much to our learning experience. We truly appreciate your support!

Large group

In our recent large group sessions, we started with the cheerful  "Good Morning" song, followed by "The Wheels on the Bus" and "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window". The children were excited and engaged, singing along with enthusiasm. After singing, we did our attendance activity. Each child independently placed their picture on the attendance board, smiling proudly as they participated. It’s always a wonderful start to our day!

Sensory Bottle Activity

We started by preparing colorful beads, pom-poms, water, empty water bottles, glitter, and chopsticks. Each child received their own bottle and excitedly began adding the beads, pom-poms, and chopsticks inside. They explored the different materials, carefully choosing what to put in their bottles. At the end, we poured in water and added glitter, creating a beautiful sensory experience. The children were very excited to see how the materials moved inside the bottles! This activity encouraged teamwork, fine motor skills, and problem-solving as they helped each other, experimented with different items, and worked on their coordination. It was a wonderful learning experience with lots of support and engagement from everyone.

Literacy and Language

Over the past two weeks, our literacy and language activities have been full of fun and learning! We started by talking about different fruits and vegetables. The children participated in a matching activity, where they brought fruit and vegetable toys and matched them with corresponding pictures. They did a great job recognizing and placing the toys correctly!

As they matched, they also identified colors and practiced saying the names of the fruits and vegetables. This activity helped build their vocabulary, observation skills, and language development. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they named each item with excitement!

Science- Gardening

For the past two weeks, our science activities have focused on gardening exploration! We started by introducing soil, allowing the children to explore its texture. First, we placed the soil in a large tub, and the children put on their art smocks to get ready for hands-on learning. They eagerly touched and felt the soil, noticing its texture and how it moved in their hands. After that, we added water, and the children became even more engaged, observing how the soil changed when wet. They explored freely, feeling, squeezing, and mixing, which made the experience both fun and educational.

This activity encouraged sensory exploration, curiosity, and hands-on learning about nature. The children had a wonderful time experimenting with soil and water!

Math

Over the past two weeks, we have been continuing our focus on shapes in our Math activity. The children have been practicing matching shapes such as triangles, circles, and squares. We provided them with different shape cutouts, and they eagerly worked on identifying and matching them correctly. Through this activity, they are developing their shape recognition, problem-solving, and fine motor skills. It’s been great to see their confidence grow as they successfully match the shapes and name them. They are making wonderful progress in their understanding of basic shapes!

Art

A week ago in art, the children created individual artworks by splashing different colors onto white paper. This allowed them to freely explore color, movement, and expression. This week, we transitioned to group work. We started by painting the background black, which made a striking contrast for the next step—splashing vibrant colors like blue, green, and yellow onto the canvas. This technique added depth and excitement to their work. The children are fully engaged and enthusiastic, enjoying both the creative freedom and the teamwork involved. It’s been an amazing experience watching them express themselves while exploring different artistic techniques!

Gymnastic

Our gymnastics session was incredible, as always! We focused on developing the children’s gross motor skills and building strength. This week, we practiced on the monkey bars, where each child took turns and worked on their pull-ups. It was wonderful to see their progress and determination as they improved their coordination and upper body strength. Everyone had a great time while enhancing their physical abilities and confidence.
